CONSHOHOCKEN, March 29, 2017 — Conshohocken Borough Authority has been awarded a significant state grant toward a sewer main rehabilitation project, according to state Sen. Vincent Hughes.
The $404,750 state grant will be used toward the $484,636 project, which entails installing cured-in-place pipe liners on approximately 1,573 linear feet of 20-inch sewer main and 1,205 linear feet of 22-inch sewer main in order to ease excessive inflow and infiltration.
"This rehabilitation project will help Conshohocken Borough Authority address needed repairs to their water infrastructure, which will protect residents,” said Hughes (D-Philadelphia/Montgomery). “I’m pleased that that state is investing in this community and its efforts to ensure a properly functioning water system."
The grant was awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Commonwealth Financing Authority, which provides support for economic stimulus projects in communities throughout Pennsylvania.
